What can you say about Italy? Strangely, British reports of the game think diving in the box in the 93rd minute to earn a penalty an unremarkable feature of the game while Argentinians are completely horrified. This blog sends commiserations to Australia.

The Argentinian journalists in Germany, meanwhile, have said how they were congratulated by journalists from around the world on the 6-0 victory against Serbia and Montenegro. By far the happiest, they said, were the Brazilian journalists, relieved that someone has taken the weight of expectations off the Brazilian team.
Argentinian feelings towards Brazil, however, are not so friendly: If their neighbours and rivals were to win the Cup again, the general feeling goes, it would make the championship predictable, boring and joyless. Or, as Antena 8 TV's Hugo Asch says: "Anything could happen, even that we come back without the Cup. But whoever wins it, let it not Brazil. If Brazil win, I swear I'll dedicate myself to watching boxing and studying Eskimo literature for the next four years. I hate them profoundly. Does that sound exaggerated? Yes, of course, it's football, the biggest business in the world that allows us to become beasts. Or poets."
